Thanksgiving Poem

                      Belly Stuffer

Thanksgiving brings a terrible chore,

‘Cause I’m forced to eat and eat some more.

If I don’t eat it up right down to dessert,

I fear the cook’s feelings will surely be hurt,

So I do my part, even though I suffer;

To be a good guest, I’m a belly stuffer.

Thanksgiving Week

I just want to let you know that we DO NOT have spelling, DOG, or DOL this week.  I will send home week 14 with the kids on Tuesday for the following week. 

Monday, Nov. 23- We will have PE and we dismiss at 3:10.

Tuesday, Nov. 24- We will have Music and we will not be going to library.  Last day of school for the week.

Wed.-Fri.- NO SCHOOL!!!

I hope that all of you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I hope that you are able to spend time with your family and friends. 

 

Week 13 Information/ Thank you

We are on week 13 this week for spelling, DOG, and DOL.  We will NOT have any spelling, DOG, and DOL next week, the week of Thanksgiving. 

Monday is mid quarter.  Mid quarter reports will be coming home on Thursday.  All students will get them regardless of the grades they are making. 

Thank you to all of you who came to our program last week.  I thought the kids did a wonderful job.  I think they really enjoyed it as well.  There are dvds for sale for $5 if you are interested of the program.  I think it was taped during the day, so if your child wasn’t able to make it to the evening performance they should be in the video. 

 

Pennies!

We are trying to collect 1,000 pennies as a class.  It is apart of our math lesson.  If you can, I would love for you to send in some pennies.  If you don’t have any that is fine.  Our goal is 1,000 by Tuesday, Nov. 24.  We have discussed about doing something with our pennies to help out others.  If you don’t mind to donate the pennies you send in, we will be donating the money to our own Food Pantry here in the Willard Schools.  This way the money will be helping out families within our school/district.  If you don’t want to donate your pennies that are brought in I will keep track of how many your child brought in and I will send them back home.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Fundraiser Pick-up

You may come and pick up your fundraiser orders on Thursday, November 19th, from 4:00pm-7:00pm.  More information will be coming home soon.

Week 12/ Music Program

We are now on week 12 for Spelling, DOL, and DOG.  The tests will be on Friday, Nov. 13.

Thursday, Nov. 12, is our 3rd grade music program.  They will be performing at 3:00 in the afternoon and at 7 that evening.  Please send your child to our classroom Thursday evening before the performance.  They will line up in there and then you may go and find a seat in the cafeteria.   I am looking forward to seeing you then.

Government!

This week we are going to be starting our Social Studies unit on Government.  We be studying about the 3 Branches of Government, elections, Constitution, and many more topics.  We will also be having a Candy Bar Election to help us learn all about the election process.  It is a lot of fun!!

THANK YOU!!!

I just want to thank you all so much for coming to Parent/Teacher Conferences this last week.  I had 100% attendance!!  That was our goal.  Way to go!  I enjoyed meeting and talking to all of you.  Please do not hesitate to ask me questions if you have any.  Once again thank you so much for coming to the conferences. 

Upcoming Information

Tuesday, Nov.3, is Picture Retake Day! If you want your child to have his/her pictures taken again, please send in their old package with all the pictures in it or send in money. 

Friday, Nov. 6, is our Veteran’s Day Assembly at 9:00 am.  If you have a veteran in your family please send in a picture and their information so we can put it into a video.  If the veteran can attend that would be wonderful as well.  If you need to have more information just let me know.  There will be a breakfast before the assembly for the veterans and the students who invited them.

Thursday, Nov. 12 is our 3rd grade music program.  We will have two performances.  One will be at 3:00 that afternoon and then at 7:00 pm.  Please mark this down on your calendars.   

 

Tests are Thursday!

Since we do not have school on Friday, the spelling, DOG , and DOL tests will be Thursday.  The kids will go over the questions for Thursday first and then we will review before we take the test.  STUDY! STUDY! STUDY!
